I’m Kerri Jarrett, a multi-venture entrepreneur trained in Trichology, Cosmetology, and Marketing—though I no longer practice behind the chair. Today, I use my background in hair science, intuitive design, and systems thinking to support professionals in creating lives and businesses that reflect who they truly are.
As Co-Founder and Webmaster of The Hair Wire, I help elevate the industry through education, strategy, and community. Through my jewelry lines, Sentimental Gems and one-of-a-kind pieces, and my podcast, Unbrushed Conversations: Hair & Perspective (launching fall'25), I explore how intention, awareness, and design can guide both personal and professional alignment.
Whether you're here for insight, structure, or a spark of clarity, you’re in the right place.

Have you ever felt an intense pull toward a particular color—whether in clothing, décor, or even the food you choose? It may seem random, but cravings for colors can be deeply connected to your energy, mood, and even your chakras.
Each chakra (energy center) in the body is associated with a specific color, and a sudden attraction to a certain hue could be a subtle signal from your subconscious that an area of your life needs attention.
🔴 Craving Red? It’s linked to the Root Chakra, which represents grounding, stability, and security. You might be seeking safety, strength, or a deeper connection to your physical body.
🟠 Drawn to Orange? This relates to the Sacral Chakra, tied to creativity, emotions, and passion. A craving for orange could signal a need for more self-expression or joy.
🟡 Attracted to Yellow? The Solar Plexus Chakra governs confidence and personal power—if you're drawn to yellow, you may be working through self-esteem or decision-making challenges.
Rather than dismissing these color cravings as random, try reflecting on how you feel and what might be out of balance in your life.
Food cravings can be a powerful clue about what your body needs—but they can also stem from emotional patterns, habits, or even deficiencies. The key is to differentiate between true nourishment and conditioned cravings.
Here are some common cravings and what they might indicate:
🍫 Chocolate: This could mean your body needs magnesium, a mineral essential for relaxation, muscle function, and reducing stress. However, if you're reaching for chocolate as a comfort food, it may be a habit rather than a deficiency.
🍟 Salty Snacks: Cravings for chips, fries, or salty foods may signal adrenal fatigue, dehydration, or a mineral imbalance. The body often craves salt when it's under stress or lacking in key minerals like potassium or sodium.
🍞 Carbs and Sugary Treats: If you're constantly craving bread, pasta, or sweets, it could be a sign of blood sugar imbalances or even emotional comfort-seeking. While some carb cravings stem from a true energy need, many come from the dopamine hit that sugar provides, creating a cycle of cravings and crashes.
Rather than giving in impulsively, try pausing and asking yourself:
Is my body lacking a nutrient, or is this just a habit?
Am I craving this food out of stress, boredom, or comfort?
Is there a healthier alternative that will truly nourish me?
The first step to understanding your cravings is awareness. Instead of reacting automatically, practice pausing and observing before indulging.
🧘 Check In with Your Body – When a craving strikes, take a deep breath and ask: What does my body need right now?
📖 Keep a Craving Journal – Write down what you crave and when. Patterns may emerge that reveal emotional triggers or nutrient gaps.
🥗 Balance Your Diet – Ensure you’re getting enough whole, nutrient-dense foods so your body doesn’t overcompensate with cravings.
🎨 Honor Your Color Cravings – If you're drawn to a certain color, incorporate it into your wardrobe, surroundings, or even your diet to see how it influences your mood.
Your cravings are more than just fleeting desires—they can be messages from your body and subconscious, guiding you toward balance. Whether you’re drawn to a particular color or a specific food, taking the time to pause and reflect can help you make choices that truly nourish your mind, body, and soul.
So next time a craving arises, lean into curiosity instead of judgment. Your body is always communicating with you—are you listening?
